1-800 Car Cash Mudsummer Classic Heat Races Results and Main Event Starting Grid

mudsummer2014_carcash_4cAfter six qualifying heat races to determine the starting lineup for this evening’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) dirt track race at Eldora Speedway, it was the first heat race pole-sitter, Erik Jones, winning the race and placing himself at the front of the pack for the 1-800 Car Cash Mudsummer Classic.

By winning the pole for the first qualifying heat race, Jones – who received his first NCWTS career pole – goes into the record book for being the youngest driver in the NCWTS to win the pole at Eldora Speedway – dethroning Ken Schrader who won the inaugural pole last year.

Winning the qualifying heat race number two to start second in the feature event will be Jeb Burton, and he will be followed by heat race 3 winner, Ron Hornaday, Jr., who will start third, heat race 4 winner Ryan Blaney starts fourth and Johnny Sauter wins heat 5 to start fifth.

Rounding out the top-ten starting positions will be Darrell Wallace, Jr., starting sixth, Joey Coulter seventh, series Rookie of the Year (ROTY) candidate, Tyler Reddick eighth, Matt Crafton ninth and Ken Schrader will start from tenth.

Failing to make the starting lineup – which was determined in the “last chance” final qualifying heat race – were Jennifer Jo Cobb, Joe Cobb, Cody Erickson and Jared Landers (withdrew due to too much damage to the truck).

The 2nd annual 1-800 Car Cash Mudsummer Classic is scheduled to get underway around 9:20 p,m. (ET) tonight, with continued television coverage provided by FOX Sports 1 beginning at 8:30 p.m. (ET).
