Johnny Sauter, new crew chief combine for big win at Michigan in fastest race in Trucks history

BvLkYndCMAIx6WyJohnny Sauter held off his fellow ThorSport Racing teammate, Matt Crafton (by 0.433 seconds) Saturday afternoon to win the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Careers for Veterans 200 at Michigan International Speedway. And with his vitory, Sauter leaves Michigan as the new series points leader, with a 9-point lead over Crafton.

This was Sauter’s first series win of the 2014 season, his tenth series career win and his first series win at Michigan International Speedway.

Following Sauter and Crafton to the drop of the checkered flag were Ron Hornaday, Jr. finishing third, Tayler Malsam fourth and Kyle Busch finished fifth.

Rounding out the top-ten finishing positions were German Quiroga, Jr. finishing sixth, Timothy Peters seventh, Jeb Burton eighth, Joey Coulter ninth and Joe Nemechek brought home tenth.
