Kevin Harvick outsmarts Kyle Busch, earns third career NNS win at Chicagoland Speedway

BxckaHxIEAEM_pBKevin Harvick was “freaky fast” Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway, as Harvick took his No. 5 Jimmy John’s Freaky Fast Chevy Camaro to victory lane in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Jimmy John’s Freaky Fast 300.

This was Harvick’s fourth series win of the 2014 season, his forty-fourth series career win and his third series win at Chicagoland Speedway.

Finishing in second behind Harvick was Kyle Larson, and they were followed to the drop of the checkered flag by Kyle Busch (who led the most laps – 141 out of 200) finishing third, Ryan Blaney fourth and Trevor Bayne finished fifth.

Rounding out the top-ten finishing positions were Elliott Sadler claiming sixth, series Rookie of the Year (ROTY) candidate, Ty Dillon seventh, Regan Smith eighth, pole-sitter Brian Scott ninth and ROTY contender and points leader, Chase Elliott bringing home tenth-place.

With his tenth-place finish, Chase Elliott leaves Chicagoland with an 18-point lead over Regan Smith.
