Kyle Busch wins another NNS event at Texas, goes for only second 3-race weekend sweep in NASCAR history

B1Y-1f5CEAM9lRxTwo down, one to go for Kyle Busch, as Busch adds Saturday’s victory in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) O’Reilly Challenge to his victory last night in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). Now he sets his sights on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) AAA Texas 500 on Sunday for a possible NASCAR trifecta at Texas Motor Speedway.

Busch who led the most laps – 116 out of 200, received his seventh series win of the 2014 season, his 70th series career win, his seventh series win at Texas Motor Speedway and gives team Joe Gibbs Racing their 100th series win.

Running the second most laps () and finishing in second was pole-sitter Joey Logano, and he was followed by Ryan Blaney finishing third, points leader and Rookie of the Year (ROTY) candidate, Chase Elliott fourth and Matt Kenseth finished fifth.

Rounding out the top-ten finishing positions were: Brian Scott taking home sixth-place, Austin Dillon seventh, Kevin Harvick eighth, Elliott Sadler/Clint Bowyer ninth and ROTY candidate Dylan Kwasniewski claiming 10th-place.

With his fourth-place finish, Chase Elliott leaves Texas with a 48-point lead over Regan Smith, who finished 11th.
