DANIEL SUÁREZ RETURNED TO WIN AT HOME

With all this support I only have to give me the most and offer them the best results,”said the young driver who held in front of 15,835 people gathered at the autodromo Monterrey.

Dany, on Board of the #3 car of team TELCEL, completed 155 laps in two hours, 28 minutes 54.477 seconds. For the regio, this is his third victory in the current season and the eighth on their way with the category. It is his second triumph in Monterrey even consecutively.

Monterrey made 1-2 in the hands of Héctor Aguirre (FR Racing Team #05) who went up places to grab second place in the final part of the competition.

Meanwhile, Antonio Pérez, winner of the Pole Position and the fastest in practice, had a very promising start to the lead at least half of the race. However, track contacts and a delay in its second entry to pit rezagaron so the pointer group and it could only take third place in competition.

Note that the TELMEX racing team has entered the Top-3 of competition 10 times. Even the cars of Jimmy Morales (Telmex / Telcel) is only absent from the Top-3 in a career (2009), the rest have been present.

Homero Richards (Axtel #20), remained as one of the protagonists of the race but after the fall of the grid stayed with the fourth place while Luis Felipe Montaño (Aeropostale #87) took over the fifth site.

The 10 first places of the race “Regia 240” Jorge Goeters (Ficrea #4), is completed by Ruben Pardo (Citizen #15), Mario Domínguez (Canel completo 19), Rubén García Jr (HDI Seguros #88) and Patrick Goeters (Ficrea #14).

After the results thrown, Daniel Suárez remains as leader of the Championship with 185 points, chased by Toño Pérez with 171 and Ruben Pardo with 156.

The next race of NASCAR TOYOTA SERIES will take place the next 10 and may 11 to celebrate the 5th date in San Luis Potosí and give you close to the first third of the season.

Pérez Earns Pole For Regia 240

Team Telmex seems to know something the other teams don’t when it comes to setting up fast cars at the Autódromo Monterrey.

Antonio Pérez topped the field in NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series qualifying ahead of Sunday’s Regia 240. The Guadalajara, Mexico, native posted a fast lap of 36.412 seconds (99.607 mph) to earn his first pole position of 2014.It was also Pérez’s 11th career pole and first at the one-mile paved oval track. Pérez topped the charts in Saturday’s final practice session.

Patrick Goeters was second quickest in the qualifying session with a fast-lap of 36.329 seconds (99.094 mph). José Luis Ramírez will start on the second row, behind Telmex teammate Pérez.Rubén Pardo qualified fourth, followed by Rubén Rovelo in fifth. The rest of the top 10 qualifiers included: Jorge Contreras Jr., Rodrigo Peralta, Daniel Suárez, Abraham Calderón and Mario Domínguez.

Jorge Goeters, who holds the record for the most NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series pole awards at the track with three, qualified 12th for the 15th series event in the northern mexican city.

The Regia 240 is scheduled to go green at approximately 1:45 p.m. ET.
