Kyle Busch passes out-of-fuel Chris Buescher to win 8th career Xfinity Series race at Bristol

6After a green-white-checkered (flags) dash to the finish in Friday night’s NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Food City 300, it was Kyle Busch capitalizing on Chris Buescher’s misfortune of running out of gas, to win at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS).

This was Busch’s series win and top-10 finish of the 2015 season, his series career win in races and his eighth series win in races at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Finishing in second behind Busch was Kyle Larson, and they were followed by pole-sitter Denny Hamlin (led the most laps – 106 out of 302) finishing third, Ty Dillon fourth and series Rookie of the Year (ROTY) candidate, Daniel Suarez (Dash4Cash $100k winner) finished fifth.

Rounding out the top-10 finishing positions were Brian Scott taking sixth-place, defending series champion Chase Elliott seventh, Kevin Harvick eighth, Regan Smith ninth and Brendan Gaughan claimed 10th-place.

The current series points leader, Chris Buescher, was still able to “crawl” under the checkered flag in 11th-place, and he leaves Bristol with a 19-point lead over Ty Dillon.

Chris Buescher wins Xfinity race at Dover; Regan Smith takes $100,000 Dash 4 Cash prize

CGR_axuUIAALC2YChris Buescher gave new meaning to the word “domination” in Saturday’s Buckle Up 200 Presented By Click It Or Ticket at Dover International Speedway.

Buescher won his second career of the season (in the last three weeks) and third of the year with just under a 12-second advantage over runner-up Matt Kenseth.

Buescher had actually held more than a 16-second lead with two laps to go, but backed off to save the last few remaining drops of fuel he had in his tank, assuring that he’d make it to the finish line.
